About Verid Weather
Verid Weather is a team of meteorologists, engineers, and designers building fast, local forecasts and clear alerts. We focus on delivering only the most relevant weather information to help people and organizations make safe decisions. Our design is minimal and data-first so you get essential insights without noise.
Our mission
Verid Weather exists to provide reliable, local, and actionable weather information that supports everyday planning and critical operations. We gather observations from local stations, public sensors, and satellites, then apply tested models and local adjustments to produce forecasts tailored to neighborhoods and sites. Our team emphasizes clarity and timeliness: forecasts are optimized for quick comprehension on mobile devices, and alerts are prioritized to minimize false alarms while ensuring public safety. We strive to make advanced meteorological insight available to everyone, from individuals planning their commute to teams managing large outdoor events. Transparency of methods and continuous validation against observations are core to our approach. We publish regular accuracy reports and welcome feedback to improve our models and delivery across regions.
Data & methodology
We combine multiple data streams to increase resilience and local accuracy. Inputs include ground stations, road sensors, satellite imagery, and public observation networks. These data are ingested in near real time, quality-checked, and fused across models. Our pipeline blends numerical weather prediction outputs with statistical post-processing and local bias correction using recent observations. Model ensembles allow us to estimate uncertainty and provide probabilistic guidance for decision-making. We maintain continuous verification processes, tracking forecast performance at various lead times and adjusting model weights to reflect observed behavior. For enterprise customers, we offer customizable feeds and service-level agreements that specify latency and availability targets.
Community & partnerships
Collaboration with local networks and agencies is central to our mission. We partner with municipal services, event organizers, and academic groups to expand observation coverage and improve situational awareness. Community-contributed observations help refine microclimate adjustments, and we provide tools for partners to share alerts or embed forecast widgets. Our partnership program provides training, API access, and technical support to ensure reliable integration. We also support open data initiatives and publish summary reports to help communities prepare for seasonal risks. If your organization operates sensors or needs tailored forecasts, our partnerships team can discuss integration and data-sharing options.
